WHO WAS SURVEYED?
  • All aspects of the welding industry were contacted in a two year project
  • Based on the survey it was determined that entry level, advanced and expert welders were in demand

ENTRY LEVEL WELDER DEFINITION CONSTRUCTED

AN INDIVIDUAL EMPLOYED IN THIS POSITION IS CONSIDERED TO POSSESS A PREREQUISITE AMOUNT OF KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDE, SKILLS, AND HABITS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ROUTINE, PREDICTABLE, REPETITIVE, PROCEDURAL TASKS INVOLVING LIMITED THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE AND MOTOR SKILLS WHILE WORKING UNDER CLOSE SUPERVISION.
